Inspirations: Indian Wedding

February 28, 2011

Some get to travel abroad to India for their wedding day, while others try to recreate authentic Indian weddings here in the states. Whether you are home or across seas, this wedding style is a vibrant and fun way to celebrate.

Venues: Honeymoon Vignettes II

February 25, 2011

The ideal honeymoon destination offers the perfect combination of romance and adventure. Latin America seems to have it all- gorgeous scenery, outdoor adventures, fabulous cuisine, and amazing culture.  Take tango lessons, hike waterfalls, and enjoy long, leisurly meals like the locals. Stay out late and take siestas during the day. Soak up the sun and the sensual Latin American culture at the same time!

Inspiration: Neutrals

February 21, 2011

Overwhelmed by color? Time to cleanse the palette with new neutrals.

Inspired by the runways, here's our take on neutrals that will speak volumes for your beautiful day. Key to achieving the seamless look is to focus on tone-on-tone neutral colors and add a variety of textures to what otherwise could be a "flat" color palette.

Inspired? We are too. We're in love with the natural beauty of new neutrals!

Edible Trends: Food Bars

February 16, 2011

Food and dessert bars are a perfect way to compliment any main course. Step it up a notch from candy jars and cakes with "comfort food" bars. Turn classic savory dishes like burgers, baked potatoes, or mac n' cheese into gourmet snacks that will be sure to WOW your guests.

And if you can't ditch dessert, try a s'mores bar, doughnut tower, or country-chic homemade pies!

Venue: Honeymoon Vignettes I

February 11, 2011

The weather in Mexico is absolutely perfect this time of year, making this the ideal honeymoon destination of the moment. In honor of the upcoming Día de los Enamorados (Valentine's Day) we are spotlighting a seriously romantic hideaway for you and your Cariño.

The Tides Zihuatenjo resort (formally known as Villa del Sol) is tucked away at the edge of Zihuatenjo Bay, just 10 minutes from Ixtapa.

Private rooms are situated between Mexico's largest beach and the resort's three private lagoons.

The resort has been a top honeymoon destination since 1978, but was recently expanded with a new spa and yoga studio.

I would gladly make this my new hideaway!

Cakes and Sweets: Not just Any Cupcake

February 9, 2011

Cupcakes are the dessert of the moment. My newest obsession is Butterfly Cupcakes. I can say with confidence that these cupcakes taste even better than they look. I sampled a chocolate cupcake from Butterfly last week and the cake was so moist and delicious. If you want happy guests at your next event- these little cakes are a no brainer!

Inspiration: Succulents

February 7, 2011

Looking for a way to make your bridal bouquet one of a kind? Succulents are a uniquely bold alternative to a traditional floral bouquet. Table centerpieces of succulents accented with white roses and a touch of greenery are also beautiful (and long lasting!)

Potted succulents in a bed of rocks make great wedding favors or place markers!

Edible Trends: On A Stick

February 2, 2011

These days, we've seen sliders, fries, grilled cheese, warm cookies, pizza, and taco trucks taking center stage at parties and weddings.  You'll find comfort food and childhood favorites passed on trays during the cocktail hours, on vignettes during the midnight snack and even served at the post party.

But what is next?

We predict that things on a stick, especially the good ole fashion cafeteria-delights like  "corn dog", might be the next comfort food fetish.
