Cake & Sweets: The Humble Pie

We are always asking ourselves,"what's next in wedding sweets?".  We've seen mini cakes, candy bars, cupcakes, but how about the humble, All-American pie?  

To use, there's something comforting, welcoming and nostalgic about a beautiful hand crafted pie.  It reminds us of family dinner and we think they could be the next "wedding sweets".

We saw this beautiful board from Beau-coup and had to share it with you.  One of the reason that we love it so much is because we are a bunch of foodies and the incorporation of food motifs with a wedding is so very lovely.  Personalized olive oil bottles are wonderful favors for wine country receptions as are the burlap bags with mini champagnes.  That's a treat that your guests will not forget.  For more ideas on favors for your wedding, you will find inspiration at Beau-coup's blog.

Photography: I left my heart...

This image caught out attention and we had to share it with you.  San Francisco has been long known to be a romantic city and it truly is a place where you will leave your "heart".  This couple certainly did.  

If you are curious, these iconic hearts from the "Hearts in SF Project" have been placed throughout San Francisco since 2004.  This is one of our favorites which is located in Union Square.  There have been 130 different ones placed throughout the City by the Bay.

Ok, we confess!  We stole this from Leila's blog, Inspired by This...but how can you deny how sweet this is.  yellow, lemons, eyelet - done!  Fabulous.  A barn like house in back - perfect.  A large oak tree to shade your guests - stunning.
