Invitations: Get Luxe!

Since the launch of their revamped website in August, Lucky Luxe has been on our "to watch"  list. We've already fallen in love with their nostalgic, graceful, fanciful letterpress invitations(we especially love the sweetness of the design, Kate).

Seriously, what's not to love about all that paper "yum"? All we can say is that we'd love to get our hands on some of their wedding invitations.  However, if we can't get an invite, we certainly can order Christmas cards.  Yippee!

Venue: Honeymoon III

Where on Earth is this place? It's the new Banyan Tree Beijing and it hasn't opened yet but we love what we see so far.  Set to open in 2011, it is one of many new resorts that Banyan Tree is set to open.

Though one wouldn't think about Beijing as an option for a honeymoon, more and more people are intrigued by China's luxury resorts.

What do you think of this place?  Is it heavenly or what?

We thank Kevin Chin Photography + Cinema for this short but lovely Super 8 clip. We learned that many videos are edited in post production to have this wonderful vintage effect but we actually got first hand knowledge from Kevin Chin that this was shot entirely from original Super 8 film. Now, that's authentic. Love.

Industry News: Bella Bridesmaid 10th's Anniversary

We all know that saying...."always a bridesmaid, never a bride!".  Well....if we had to wear one of Bridget Brown's Bella Bridesmaid gowns, we'd never want to be a bride, right?

From all of us here, we want to congratulate Bridget(and Nick) Brown of Bella Bridesmaid on their 10th Anniversary.  The Brown's are some of the most entertaining, influential, charming, and knowledgeable people in the wedding business who have the best taste when it comes to all things "bridesmaid".  Plus, we think Bridget Brown is the most adorable person? (Posing in front of her many bridesmaid gowns).  We love how she has made being a bridesmaid fun and fashionable.

Decor: A little birdy told us

For years now, couples have been giving gift totes to out of town guests arriving for their weekend wedding affair. There's a zillion option of adorable totes but this one touched us.  You might say it's because we are bird lovers.  For a fall wedding in a rustic, woodland area, these are beautiful.  And they can work for winter weddings as well.  Now that we are writing this article, it's quite seasonless.  To us, they are insanely perfect.

We know that this post is about Cakes & Sweets but with our ear to the ground, the word in the wedding world and the specialty food industry is that savory snacks are in.  So in.
