One of the many details that we, members of the Pink List Panel, always swoon over when we’re looking at images of weddings is signage. Whether it’s a rustic “Welcome” sign in raw wood for a winery wedding or a fancy “Desserts” sign with ornate flourishes for a ballroom soiree, signs seem to always be an unexpected scene stealer.
We came across one very delightful signage company on Etsy that we felt inclined to share with you! If you are planning a shabby chic style wedding, you’ll flip out when you see these adorable cottage-inspired signs from The Back Porch Shoppe!
Darline Treitler is the founder of this charming company. She creates all of the signs from her back porch, hence the name! Her husband cuts, sands, and base coats, and then she does all the artwork. (Well, maybe not all the artwork… Darline admits that sometimes she gets her husband to do the artwork for her. But, she’s always hands-on when it comes to checking for symmetry!) She’s such a fun spirit! Darline’s personality
Check out the wonderful examples of her work! For you shabby chic brides-to-be, how lovely would a custom-made “Wedding” sign in crackled ivory paint be at your ceremony!!!
