{Event Designers: MB's Dream Wedding}

The world of wedding planning is changing. There are those who are experts at logistics and planning. Others have superb taste and an eye for design. Few can do both well. And even fewer are fun, outgoing, and positive like Michelle Barrionuevo-Mazzini of MB Wedding Designs. Whether it's an opulent gala or an intimate destination wedding for a handful, MB as she is known has the drive, passion and spunk to create weddings that any bride would envy.

Recently we asked MB to describe her own Dream Wedding. What would a top notch wedding and event designer put together for herself. Let's dream along with MB.

MB writes,"the wedding of my dreams would take place at a private ocean front property on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii.

The colors would be white, eggplant, yellow, and indigo blue. The theme would be "Island Chic".

The invitations would be designed by Studio Ayt while the bridal gown would be a Reem Acra signature design.



The bridesmaids would wear silky satin plum gown from Butter by Nadia.

For dinner guests would be served a 4 course Hawaiian fusion meal to include macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi and slow roasted pig just to name a few.

The bar would be flowing with a Signature drink, a Hawaiian martini, which consist of Maui pineapples infused in SKYY vodka, vanilla vodka and Malibu coconut rum. Sounds divine!

For the ceremony MB would hire Norah Jones to sing “Come Away with Me” as she walks down the aisle (this was the actual song MB chose to walk down the aisle to for her own wedding in March of 2005) . MB tells us ," I always envisioned my mother would walk me down the aisle. She passed away a year before my 2005 wedding and was unable to be a part of my special day so if I could do it all over again with her alive, she would give me away".

Being a music lover, MB would love musicians like Stevie Wonder, Hall and Oates, John Legend, La India and El Gran Combo to perform at her island nuptials. We can imagine guests dancing the night away. Oh how lovely!

This boutonniere featuring orchids in a citrus lime yellow with blue accent lends itself to this chic wedding. It's a love!

Even though this a dream wedding, we're still envious!!!
