Floral Inspiration: Anemones

Why is the anemone such stunning flower? This versatile bud is one of our favorites because it can be bold and sweet at the same time. Whether it is a simple red bunch, a whimsical wedding bouquet, or the white french anemone styled with a vintage twist, this flower is at the top of our summer list!

 Loving the structured dynamic of this bouquet. The blue accents are so unexpected!

And of course, anemones work wonderfully in smaller bouquets and as boutonnieres.

This last bouquet is a soft mixture of anemones, roses, and greens- so sweet!

Edible Trends: Italian Romance

Why not import your wedding cuisine from the most romantic country in the world- Italy! Italian can be served by course in a traditional fashion, or buffet style for a more casual occasion. Start with a Caprese salad bar, followed by a mushroom risotto. For the main dish, seafood cioppino as a always a hit. And to top it all off, treat guests to a old-fashioned gelato stand. Forget the honeymoon, bring Italy to you wedding to share the love with the whole family!

Cakes and Sweets: Icy Treats

When planning an outdoor summer wedding, consider the type of desserts you can serve along with your wedding cake. Icy desserts like Popsicles, shaved ice, and ice cream are a refreshing treat that guests will appreciate in the summer heat. Here is a sweet little preview of the summer inspiration boards that PBL has in store for the month of July...

Shaved ice is such an easy way to incorporate a unique color palette. Keep it simple (and clean) with disposable Dixie cups.

 Who said popsicles have to be childish? We love the blunt shape of these "icy poles" from Gourmet Traveller almost as much as the adult flavors (watermelon and gin and lemonade/passionfruit).

How delicious does this marbleized strawberry ice cream look? This photo calls for an inspiration board.
