{Cakes & Sweets: Me Me Miette}

May 15, 2009

Thank God It's Friday!

We wanted to end the week with something sweet.

In San Francisco, there are not only one but three wonderful stores called Miette.

Each has its own wonderful vintage inspired decor. Each is a dreamy, nostalgic place of sweet wonderment.

Each embodies a wholesome, goodness.

Pictured to the right is one of their many cakes that you can order. This one is sinful pretty on that milk glass cake stand. The prices for their cakes range from $30 to $50 and can serve between 6 to 10 people.

Pictured to the left is their Hayes Valley location where they specialize in candies. We love the vintage salmon pink, kiwi green, buttery yellow wall paper. The vintage scale is delightful.

The candies are all displayed so perfect in large glass jars. Candy may be for little kids but all dressed up like this is hard for anyone to resist.

Miette has a wonderful array of candies for all you brides who want a unique candy bar. Last weekend, their table display included 12 inch long Marshmellows sticks, gigantic jawbreakers, chocolate covered gummies, and some very unusual chocolates wrapped with a silver sardine print.

Don't worry, for those who don't want pre packed chocolates, they have jars of candy that you can buy by the pound.

What we love about Miette is it's simple philosophy of providing sweets that are modern cheerful and always delicious.

One great plus, they do host private parties where adults can munch on cotton candy, pastries while sipping champagne. What fun!

You can order many of their candies and even some of their cookies for shipment via their website at www.miette.com.
